Five decades at the sewing machine.

It all began at Mexikoplatz: my grandfather, together with my father, opened a general goods store and sold fabrics from all over the world. The means for new stock were lacking, so we started with second-choice goods — not by choice, but by necessity.

With effort and persistence, my grandfather built the business up and improved the quality piece by piece. Word spread across Vienna. The clientele kept growing, and eventually suppliers wanted to show their goods with us, too.

In 2004 we moved to Senefeldergasse 24 in Vienna-Favoriten. For over two decades, that was our main store — a range of around 50,000 items for our customers to choose from.

In January 2026 I closed that location. The management retired, and over 20 years at Senefeldergasse came to an end. But it wasn't the last word.

By popular demand, I brought Davris Fashion back at two new locations: Inzersdorfer Straße 50–56 in Vienna-Favoriten, and Meidlinger Hauptstraße 6, corner of Hufelandgasse, 1120 Vienna. There, a generous selection of fabrics of every kind and notions awaits you — and new: our express alterations atelier. We service and repair sewing machines, too.
